Rambling along, for 10 years!

10 years!  Sometimes I’ve had a lot to say in those years, other times not so much. There’s plenty I’d like to say now, like about a trial with no witnesses, willful ignorance of the science of us destroying our only planet, or the general loss of moral values. But this blog was started for brighter and happier things, and  those things are still the most important things in daily life, so a-blogging I go.

I’m old(er). Every day is about Today, cos Today is what we each have.  I’ve collected a few wonderful readers as I went along with this, and I thank you each and appreciate each of you. I’ve gotten to “know” some of you, as much as we can know another person on line. I would really like to meet some of you, but many live across the country or across the ocean.

Winter is boring and I get writer’s block about what to write.  There’s no garden adventures to write about, like the time we had groundhogs, and rogue bamboo and squash bugs, all in the same summer! https://sarasinart.net/2017/08/03/groundhogs-and-bamboo-and-squash-bugs-oh-my/

I’ve written lots of garden blogs about adventures, and misadventures, and one good one about the year I did a special companion planting called 3 Sisters.  I really enjoyed that.  Now the garden has gotten smaller and there’s no place to plant that again.  https://sarasinart.net/2016/06/13/three-sisters-2/

Sometimes I’ve entertained people here and on FB with stories about my garden gargoyle, Albert. (Sorry, Tony…..Tony thinks he’s creepy.)  Everybody needs to have a little silly fun, more so in the winter.  https://sarasinart.net/2018/03/20/noreaster/

I always wrote about my cat, who is now getting to be an old lady as well as I am.  But she’s still feisty, and still waits on the back of the couch every day, waiting to attack the mailman when he comes up on “her” front porch.  (She still doesn’t understand that he skips some days, like Sunday and holidays.  She just waits a while, then eventually gives up.) https://sarasinart.net/2016/10/14/i-have-an-attack-cat/

And now I have a new pet, and 5″ lizard, who is adorable.  https://sarasinart.net/2019/09/11/i-got-a-new-pet/

Lots of things have happened in 10 years, oh where does the time go!  One of the best things is I gained a family member when my son got married to an amazing woman, and they are both so happy. A mom’s biggest wish is for her adult child to be happy. It makes mom happy, for sure.

I retired,  wow that was a long time coming and now I live in Saturdayville, every day. https://sarasinart.net/2013/12/31/retired/

I had a nasty  surgery, which I wrote about and SO many people have read the advice I gave about how to handle a debilitating recovery. https://sarasinart.net/2015/02/08/what-can-you-do-with-one-hand-after-rotator-cuff-surgery/

Lots of things happen in 10 years.  You can’t write about too many or people will get bored.  It’s been a good ten years, and I’ll ramble along some more if anybody wants to keep reading.  One day at a time, life goes along, we get older but always need to remember: Today is the day, it’s what we have.  Enjoy every minute of your Today.
